Child’s pose (balasana)

Child’s pose is one of the most soothing yoga poses for stress relief. It relaxes your spine, hips and shoulders while stilling your mind. To perform this pose, sit on your heels, stretch your arms forward and gently rest your forehead on the mat. Take slow, deep breaths and feel your stress melt away.

Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana)

This gentle flow between the two poses helps release tension in the back and improves flexibility. Start on all fours, arch your back up like a cat, then lower it down into cow pose. Synchronize your breathing with each movement and you’ll instantly feel younger.

Forward Bend (Uttanasana)

Forward bending can do wonders for your mood. Stand up straight, bend forward at the hips, let your head and arms hang freely. This pose improves blood circulation in the brain and helps you feel grounded and calm.

Lean forward while standing with shoulders open

This forward bend stretches the shoulders, making it ideal for relieving tension in the upper body. Clasp your hands behind your back, bend them forward and extend your arms above your head. It’s a great way to de-stress after a long day.

Legs to the wall pose (Viparita Karani)

This restorative pose is a favorite for instant relaxation. Lie with your legs up against the wall. This pose improves blood circulation, reduces anxiety and promotes deep relaxation.

Seated forward bend (Pashimottanasana)

Sit with your legs out in front of you and reach for your toes. This pose stretches the back, shoulders and hamstrings while calming the nervous system. Hold the pose for a few breaths and feel the tension leave your body.

Corpse Pose (Savasana)

End your yoga session in the best pose for relaxation. Lie flat on your back, let your arms and legs rest comfortably, and close your eyes. Focus on your breath and let go of all worries. It’s a simple but powerful way to reset your mind.
