For many, even today the mention of Lord Krishna conjures up an image of the veteran actor
who played the iconic role in BR Chopra’s television show
in 1988. Reprised his role as Krishna in the popular play
the actor performed to a packed auditorium recently. Written and performed in verse form, the play staged at the Kamani Auditorium explored the concepts of

.“This is the 93rd edition of this play. We have been conducting this in various cities in India since the pre-pandemic era. Finally, we mustered up the courage to rejoin the entire cast and return to the capital. The show was completely sold out. People are keen to watch good content,” said
playwright and director.
The play revolves around the thirteenth day of the Kurukshetra War and depicts the killing of Abhimanyu after being caught in the
chakravyuh
. “This play is not only focused on warcraft but tries to explore the philosophy behind it,” he added Koushik. Explaining how the theater developed in the post-pandemic phase, he added, “The energy of the actors increased because they were hungry to return to the stage, after the pandemic.”
