A yoga studio in Carlisle is recognized as the best yoga studio in the UK

A Treasury yoga studio in Carlisle has topped fitness company Origym’s list of the 31 best yoga studios in the UK.

Emma Vazquez, the owner, said that she and her team have put a lot of hard work into the business and that this is reflected in the top rating.

“It’s great to be recognized for this,” Ms Vasquez said.

Part of that hard work throughout the company’s history has been surviving Covid as a business that has traditionally relied on being in an enclosed space with other people who play sports.

Thanks to the Internet and a savvy mind, Ms. Vazquez was able to continue to operate and maintain quality and reliable service for her clients, but set everything up online.

She explained that the video calling app Zoom was used to stream the lessons live, and some were pre-recorded and streamed to attendees.

“We just kept at it and supported people as much as we could from home.”

Origym says the studio has been teaching enthusiastic yogis for more than 10 years and with more than 40 different classes to choose from, “it’s easy to see what makes The Yoga Studio so popular with locals.”

They also mentioned the online streaming feature left over from the pandemic, which means you can join from anywhere in the world, which is vital to our hybrid and home-based work culture.

For Ms. Vasquez, consistency is key.

“We’re open regularly, we have space, so people can always come and participate, and we offer member benefits.

“Also, because the studio is in an old barn but also in the center of town, it’s a really special place and location.”

She concluded by thanking the community of yoga practitioners and teachers for making the studio what it is today – a national leader.
